Section 11 (Engine Cooling System (2.5L)): Thermostat: Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install a gasket to thermostat.NOTE: Use a new gasket.
- Install the thermostat and thermostat cover.NOTE: Install the parts with the jiggle pin facing upward.
Tightening torque:
12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)
- Connect the radiator outlet hose to thermostat cover.
- Install the under cover. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill engine coolant. Refer to COOLING(STI)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
