Oil Temperature Sensor: Inspection
- Check that there is no deformation, cracks or other damages.
- Check the oil temperature sensor.
- Immerse the oil temperature sensor and a thermometer in water.CAUTION: Make sure that water does not get into the oil temperature sensor connector. If water gets into the connector, completely remove any water inside.
- Raise water temperature gradually, and check the resistance when the temperature is 20°C (68°F) and 80°C (176°F).NOTE:
- During the test, agitate the water for even temperature distribution.
- Take the resistance value only after it becomes steady.
- After inspection, remove the water completely.
