Front Planetary Ring Gear: Installation

Install the front planetary ring gear set.

Install the front planetary flange thrust needle roller bearing and No. 2 planetary carrier thrust washer.
NOTE: Make sure to install the front planetary flange thrust needle roller bearing and No. 2 planetary carrier thrust washer in the right direction.

Use vaseline to attach the front planetary flange rear thrust bearing race.

NOTE: Make sure to attach the front planetary flange rear thrust bearing race in the right direction.

(C)	Front planetary flange thrust needle roller bearing
(D)	No. 2 planetary carrier thrust washer
(E)	Transmission case

Install the front planetary gear and the one-way clutch inner race.

Install the No. 1 brake discs, No. 1 brake plates, and No. 1 brake flange.

NOTE: When replacing with new No. 1 brake discs, soak them in the ATF for 15 minutes.

Install the No. 1 planetary carrier thrust washer and the one-way clutch.

NOTE: Make sure to install the No. 1 planetary carrier thrust washer in the right direction.

Install the No. 3 brake cylinder. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>NO. 3 BRAKE CYLINDER>INSTALLATION .
