Transmission Case Body

Compress the 1st & reverse brake return spring (A) using the ST to remove the snap ring (B).
Preparation tool:

ST: COMPRESSOR PISTON SPR NO. 3 (09350-07050)

Remove the 1st & reverse brake return spring.

Check the 1st & reverse brake return spring.

Using a caliper gauge, measure the spring height "H".

Specification:

23.74 mm (0.935 in)

If the value is equal to or less than the specification, replace the 1st & reverse brake return spring with a new part.

Remove the brake apply tube.

Blow compressed air through the hole shown in the figure, and remove the 1st & reverse brake piston.
CAUTION: If the 1st & reverse brake piston cannot be removed by the compressed air, use pliers, etc. to remove it.
Be careful not to damage the 1st & reverse brake piston.

NOTE: Blow compressed air of 392 kPa (4.0 kgf/cm² , 56.8 psi).

Using the ST, remove the brake reaction sleeve (A).
Preparation tool:

ST: PULLER BRAKE REACTION SLEEVE (09350-07080)
