Preparation For The Inspection Mode

Check that the battery voltage is 12 V or more and fuel remains approx. half [20 - 40 L (5.3 - 10.6 US gal, 4.4 - 8.8 Imp gal)].
After performing the diagnostics and clearing memory, check that no DTC remains.
NOTE:
- Perform the inspection mode after warming up the engine except when the ATF temperature at engine start is specified.
- For DTC P162B, refer to DTC P162A in Engine (Diagnostics). (EXCEPT FOR WILDERNESS MODEL) Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DO)>INSPECTION MODE>PROCEDURE>INSPECTION MODE B .
- DTC C0563 performs the inspection mode of "BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)". (WILDERNESS MODEL) Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE .
