Automatic Adjustment And Function Check By Driving
Perform this procedure after finishing stereo camera adjustment and inspection.
CAUTION:
Make sure to perform the automatic adjustment and function check by driving after replacing or readjusting the stereo camera and windshield glass for securing the stereo camera recognition accuracy.
NOTE:
The automatic adjustment and function check by driving can adjust the stereo camera more in detail in addition to the stereo camera adjustment using RANDOM CHART.
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, display [Automatic Adjustment Status] in [Data monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
- Drive the vehicle until [Automatic adjustment status] displays [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E].CAUTION: Maintain the following conditions until [Automatic Adjustment Status] displays [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E].
- Turn the active lane keep and cruise main to OFF.
- Turn the pre-collision brake function to OFF on the center information display.
NOTE:- It may take long until [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E] is displayed depending on the road condition, etc.
- After [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E] is displayed, and then the ignition switch is turned to OFF and the system is restarted, [0E] or [1E] is displayed. However, an additional driving check is not necessary.
- For new vehicles, [00] may be displayed. A test-drive is not necessary before delivery because high-accuracy stereo camera adjustment and inspection setting has been performed at the factory.
- For the automatic adjustment conditions, refer to the following.
- Conditions suitable to perform automatic adjustment
- When driving the vehicle on straight road with white lines on both sides at a speed of 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more, while maintaining distance from the preceding vehicle 40 m (131.24 ft) or more during the daytime in fine weather
- When approaching the preceding vehicle that is parked with its brake lights turned on
- Conditions unsuitable to perform automatic adjustment
- Nighttime or in bad weather conditions such as heavy rain, snowstorm or dense fog
- When white line is present on one side only, faint or not visible
- When there is no object in the vicinity, such as road structures and buildings
- Conditions suitable to perform automatic adjustment
Display Contents Unit of measure Note (at idling) [Automatic adjustment status] Index for automatic adjustment operation performed by driving after the completion of the stereo camera adjustment and inspection - [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E] is displayed when completed. - Display [Lane recognition status] of [Data monitor] and confirm that, while recognizing white lines on both sides with lane width 2.8 m (9.19 ft) or more during driving at 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more, [08] is displayed in [Lane recognition status]. .NOTE: When driving does not continue until [0F], [1F], [2F], [3F], [2E] or [3E] is displayed in [Automatic adjustment status], it may take long before recognition completes.
Display Contents Unit of measure Note (at idling) [Lane Recognition Status] Display of lane recognition status - Recognized when vehicle lane can be seen by 20 m (65.62 ft) or more. - On [Data monitor], display [Preceding vehicle distance] to check if the distance from the preceding vehicle is approximately the same. - Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
