Memory Height Switch Does Not Function

NOTE: Before performing diagnosis, initialize the power rear gate system by opening the power rear gate in manual operation, and then operating the power rear gate auto closer in the partially latched state.
  1. CHECK CENTER INFORMATION DISPLAY  .

    Operate the memory height switch and check if the display for the memory height switch changes.

    Does the display change?

    Yes:  The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No:  Go to  2.

  2. CHECK DATA MONITOR  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Rear Gate]. Ref. to POWER REAR GATE (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
      • Memory stop SW

    Does the display change between [OFF] ←→ [ON] according to the memory height switch operation?

    Yes:  Input circuit is normal. Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for cockpit control system. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .

    No:  Replace Power rear gate Control Module. Ref. to POWER REAR GATE SYSTEM>POWER REAR GATE CONTROL MODULE .
