Power Rear Gate

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Check that the power rear gate normally opens/closes and temporarily stops by pressing the power rear gate driver's switch, power rear gate inner switch, and rear gate opener button of keyless transmitter and access key. Also, check that it can be opened/closed manually.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF and the handsfree OFF switch to OFF.
Put your hand close to the ornament rear while the rear gate is closed, then put the hand off after the buzzer starts to sound to check if the rear gate automatically opens.
Operate the memory height switch to check that it normally stops at the memory position. At the same time, check that the opening angle of the stop position stored in the memory is in the range from fully closed to 30.0 cm (11.81 in) or more.
NOTE:
- Power rear gate memory switch is set inside the center information display (CID).
- Opening angle position stored in the memory of the vehicle before delivery is set to the range from fully closed to 30.0 cm (11.81 in).
Push the power rear gate inner switch with the rear gate fully opened. Immediately after the rear gate starts closing, press in either right or left power rear gate touch sensor by 2.0 mm (0.08 in) and check that the auto-reverse operation activates.
