Accumulator Piston

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the control valve body. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>CONTROL VALVE BODY>REMOVAL>CONTROL VALVE BODY .
  3. Remove the C2 accumulator piston.
    1. Apply compressed air to the hole shown in the figure.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to let the B3 and C3 accumulator pistons pop out.

    2. Remove the C2 accumulator piston (A), spring (B), and O-ring (C).

    3. Using a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protection tape, remove the snap ring and the spring.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the C2 accumulator piston.
      NOTE: Perform this procedure only when required.

  4. Remove the B3 accumulator piston.
    1. Apply compressed air to the hole shown in the figure.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to let the C3 accumulator piston pop out.

    2. Remove the B3 accumulator piston (A), spring (B), and O-ring (C).
    3. Using a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protection tape, remove the snap ring and the spring.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the B3 accumulator piston.
      NOTE: Perform this procedure only when required.

  5. Remove the C3 accumulator piston.
    1. Apply compressed air to the hole shown in the figure.

    2. Remove the C3 accumulator piston (A), spring (B), spring (C), and O-ring (D).

  6. Remove the B1 accumulator valve (A) and spring (B).
