Brake Test

  1. Keep the front or rear wheels on the ground during measurement.
    CAUTION: Perform the following operations before setting the vehicle on the brake tester.
    CAUTION:
    1. Operate the EPB switch to the LOCK side with the vehicle at a standstill.
    2. After the EPB switch is operated, wait for approx. 2 seconds and check that the EPB operation light illuminates.
    3. Operate the EPB switch to the RELEASE side after confirming the operation light.
    4. Make sure that the EPB operation light has gone out.

  2. When the brake dragging force is large
    • Check the dragging of brake pad.
      JUDGMENT STANDARDS

      - Braking force
      Rear wheel total 10% or more of load on front or rear wheels
      Difference between right and left wheels 8% or less of load on front or rear wheels
      Grand total 50% or more of vehicle weight at the time of test
    • When measurement is difficult to carry out because both of front wheels are locked, brake force measurement in this condition conforms to standard grand total.
