CAUTION: For the non-reusable parts, always use new parts.

Using new bolts and new nuts, install the ball joint COMPL to the front axle housing.

CAUTION:

Do not apply grease to the ball stud section of ball joint COMPL.
Be careful not to damage the boot of the ball joint.
Before tightening, make sure the narrow section of the ball stud and the housing hole are matched.
While holding the bolt side, tighten the nut to the specified torque.

Tightening torque:

70 N.m (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb)

Using new nuts, connect the ball joint COMPL to the arm assembly front.
Tightening torque:

100 N.m (10.2 kgf-m, 73.8 ft-lb)
Install the front wheels. Ref. to WHEEL AND TIRE SYSTEM>TIRE AND WHEEL>INSTALLATION .
Inspect the wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
- Inspection: Ref. to FRONT SUSPENSION>WHEEL ALIGNMENT>INSPECTION .
- Adjustment: Ref. to FRONT SUSPENSION>WHEEL ALIGNMENT>ADJUSTMENT .
Perform the VDC sensor midpoint setting mode. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U)>ADJUSTMENT>VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODE .
Perform the END STOP learning. Ref. to POWER STEERING (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE>PROCEDURE>INSPECTION MODE B .
Using Subaru Select Monitor, perform [Clear Active Lane Keep System Learning Value] in the [Work Support] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
