Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the mirror repair.CAUTION: When removing the mirror repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror repair with a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.
- Push the top of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces upward.
- Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape.
- Push the bottom of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces downward.
- Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape.
- Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)
- Remove the cover cap outer mirror.
- Release the claw.
- Remove the cover cap outer mirror.CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower claws may become damaged.
- Remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.
- Put the outer mirror assembly in the folding position.
- Release the claw.
- Remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.
- Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
- Pull out the waterproof packing.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.
- Remove the light assembly side turn mirror. (Model with side turn signal light)
- Remove the screws.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the light assembly side turn mirror.
