Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the mirror repair.
    CAUTION: When removing the mirror repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror repair with a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool.
    1. Push the top of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces upward.
    2. Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape.

    3. Push the bottom of the mirror repair so that the mirror repair faces downward.
    4. Release the claws using a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool wrapped with protection tape.

    5. Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)

  3. Remove the cover cap outer mirror.
    1. Release the claw.
    2. Remove the cover cap outer mirror.
      CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower claws may become damaged.

  4. Remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.
    1. Put the outer mirror assembly in the folding position.
    2. Release the claw.
    3. Remove the cover cap outer mirror LWR.

  5. Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
    1. Pull out the waterproof packing.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the screws.
    4. Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.

  6. Remove the light assembly side turn mirror. (Model with side turn signal light)
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the light assembly side turn mirror.
