DTC P06E9: Engine Starter Performance: Notes

DTC detecting condition :

Immediately at fault recognition

Trouble symptom :

Auto Start Stop does not operate.

Failure detection pattern :

"Primary" (high-priority diagnosis)

Warning light/indicator light :

Malfunction indicator light◦
Auto Start Stop warning light (yellow)◦

CAUTION: After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform the last step of the basic diagnostic procedure. Ref. to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

CHECK DATA MONITOR .
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Read the data of [Start Count] using Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to AUTO START STOP (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
Is the value of [Start Count] 280000 Time or more?

Yes: Replace the starter and fuel pump relay at the same time. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>STARTER . Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>RELAY AND FUSE .

No: Replace the TCM. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .
