Airbag Control Module: Removal

CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Do not disassemble the airbag control module.
- If the airbag control module is deformed or if there is any trace of water on the module, replace the airbag control module with a new one.
- Do not drop the airbag control module.
- After removal, keep the airbag control module on a dry, clean surface away from moisture, heat and dust.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: Shift the select lever into "N" before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
- Remove the grille ventilation assembly center. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
- Remove the center information display assembly. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover center side and the cover center socket. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the duct rear heater front. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>HEATER DUCT>REMOVAL>FRONT .
- Remove the airbag control module.
- Disconnect the connector from airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONNECTOR>PROCEDURE>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE .
- Remove the bolt and nuts and remove the airbag control module.
