PCV Connector: Installation

  1. Install the PCV connector.
    1. Install the new PCV connector.

      Tightening torque  :

      6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb) 

    2. Connect the water hose (A).
    3. Connect the PCV hose No. 2 (B).

  2. Install the bracket air conditioner and the battery cable assembly.
    1. Install the bracket air conditioner. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>COMPRESSOR>INSTALLATION .
    2. Secure the battery cable assembly with the clip (E) and clip (D).
    3. Connect the connector (C) and connector (B).
    4. Connect the terminal B (A).
      CAUTION: Clean and degrease the bolt threads, terminals and seating surfaces. Residual anti-rust grease or dirt may cause overtorque.

      Tightening torque  :

      15.5 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.4 ft-lb)

    5. After connecting the terminal B, apply a thin coat of anti-rust grease to the terminal section.
      CAUTION: This procedure is required to prevent rust and suppress sulfation.
      NOTE: Apply anti-rust grease to the area shown in the figure.

      Preparation items: 

      Grease: Viscotech R174 or equivalent. Ref. to RECOMMENDED MATERIALS>GREASE>STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEM

    6. Install the V-belts. Ref. to MECHANICAL(H4DO)>V-BELT>INSTALLATION
  3. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  4. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  5. Check refrigerant leaks. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>REFRIGERANT LEAK CHECK>INSPECTION .
