System/Component Tests: Introduction

NOTE: Prior to testing components or systems, it is highly recommended that all procedures in BASIC TESTING be performed. Since many computer controlled and monitored components will set a trouble code if they malfunction, perform self-diagnosis. See TESTS W/CODES article.
