DTC Troubleshooting

P2008 DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK:J24B .
2  DTC check 
  1. Check DTC.

Is there DTC(s) other than P2008? 		 Go to applicable DTC (s). Go to Step 3.
3  IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) check 
  1. Check IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) referring to Step 3 of P2004, P2006 .

Are they in good condition? 		 Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4  IMRC valve motor check 
  1. Check IMRC valve motor, see IMRC (INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL) VALVE INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition? 		 Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. Replace IMRC valve, see INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
