UPDATE VEHICLE SOLIWARE TO INCORPORATE ADDITIONAL AUTOSTEER CONTROLS

CONDITION

On some vehicles, in certain circumstances when Autosteer is engaged, the prominence and scope of the feature's controls may not be sufficient to prevent driver misuse of this feature.

CORRECTION

Inspect the vehicle software version, and if necessary, update the vehicle software to version 2023.44.30 or later.

PROCEDURE

On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls  (vehicle icon) > Software  , and then scroll down to display the vehicle software version.

• If the vehicle is operating with software version 2023.44.30 or later, no further action is necessary. Use correction code S012300008.
• If the vehicle is operating with a software version earlier than 2023.44.30, update the software to version 2023.44.30 or later (refer to Legacy Model S  ,  Legacy Model X  ,  Model 3  ,  Model Y  ,  Palladium Model S  ,  Palladium Model X  ). Use correction code S022300008.
