Sub-Assembly - Instrument Panel - Remove And Install: Install

With an assistant, slide the instrument panel sub-assembly into vehicle.
NOTE: x4 datums.

NOTE: Make sure that the front passenger airbag and the driver vent assembly have clearance past the lower instrument panel assembly.

Connect the instrument panel trim electrical harness, and then install the clip that attaches it to the vehicle.

Connect the instrument cluster electrical harness, and then install the clip that attaches it to the vehicle.

Install the clip that attaches the instrument panel decor electrical harness to the LH instrument panel sub-assembly.

Position the lower instrument panel assembly onto the instrument panel sub-assembly.

Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH lower instrument panel to the vehicle.
NOTE: 3 N.m (2.2 lbs-ft)

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Install the screws (x7) that attach the center lower instrument panel to the vehicle.
3 N.m (2.2 lbs-ft)

NOTE: If using part revision 1562948-70-D on a non-HW4 vehicle, add ground strap 1679240-00-A to the aero lens assembly.

NOTE: 1 screw connects the instrument panel ground harness.

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Install the screws (x3) that attach the RH lower instrument panel to the vehicle.
3 N.m (2.2 lbs-ft)

Install the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See: TRIM - A-PILLAR - UPPER - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam.
NOTE: 6 N.m (4.4 lbs-ft)

Connect the front passenger airbag electrical connectors (x3).

Install the front passenger instrument panel duct. See Duct - Instrument Panel - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace) .
Install the glove box. See: Glove Box - Remove And Replace .
Install the front passenger knee airbag. See: KNEE AIRBAG - FRONT PASSENGER - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the passenger footwell cover. See: Cover - Footwell - Passenger - Remove And Replace .
Remove the RH instrument panel middle trim. See: Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - RH - Remove And Replace .
Install the LH instrument panel middle trim. See: Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - LH - Remove And Replace .
Fasten the tabs (x4) that attach the instrument panel closeout panel to the instrument panel.

Install the main instrument panel decor. See: Decor - Instrument Panel - Main - Remove And Replace .
Install the touchscreen. See: TOUCHSCREEN - HW3 - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the instrument panel service panel. See: SERVICE PANEL - INSTRUMENT PANEL - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the center console phone dock. See: PHONE DOCK - CENTER CONSOLE - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Connect LV power. See: LV POWER - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
Install the rear underhood apron. See: UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Restore the steering column back to its original position.
Install the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See: End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH - Remove And Replace .
Install the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See: TRIM - A-PILLAR - MIDDLE - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Restore the driver and front passenger seats back to their original position.
Raise the LH and RH front windows.
Close the LH and RH front doors.
