Alternator - NIPPONDENSO: Description
Nippondenso alternators are conventional 3-phase alternators utilizing 6 diodes (3 positive and 3 negative) to rectify current. Charge control may be by either internal Integrated Circuit (IC), or external IC or contact point type regulators. Most Toyota models have the main alternator circuit and warning light circuits controlled by relays.
