Rear Output Assembly: Notes

  1. Measure drive sprocket thrust clearance. Using a feeler gauge, measure the drive sprocket thrust clearance. See DRIVE SPROCKET THRUST CLEARANCE  table. Remove O-ring.

    Standard 0.0039-0.0098 (0.10-0.25)
    Maximum 0.0157 (0.40)
  2. Remove rear output shaft bearing. Using SST (09950-00020) and a press, remove the bearing. Remove thrust washer and ball. Remove transfer drive sprocket. Remove the transfer drive sprocket and needle roller bearing.
