Vacuum Switching Valves (VSV)
- Check for vacuum circut continuity. Apply battery voltage to VSV terminals. Blow air into nozzle "E". Air should come out of nozzle "F". Disconnect battery. See Fig 1.
- Blow air into nozzle "E". Air should come out of filter. If VSV does not function as described, replace valve.
- Check VSV for short. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between VSV terminals and ground. If continuity exists, replace VSV.
- Check VSV for open. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between both VSV terminals. Resistance should be 30-50 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not within specification, replace VSV.
