Steering System - Electronic Power: Description
The Toyota electronically-controlled power steering system incorporates a speed sensor, computer and a solenoid valve in addition to conventional power steering components. The computer controlled solenoid valve reduces hydraulic pressure to the rack at high speeds to increase steering effort and increases pressure to the rack at low speeds or when the vehicle is stationary to reduce steering effort.
