Clutch Start System

Ensure engine does not start when clutch pedal is released. Ensure engine starts when clutch pedal is fully depressed. Check clearance "A" is greater than 0.04" (1.0 mm) when clutch is fully depressed. See Fig 1.
If system is not operating correctly, check clutch start switch. With switch in the ON (pushed) position, continuity should exist. With switch in the OFF (free) position, continuity should not exist. See Fig 2. Replace or adjust switch as necessary.
