Circuit Opening Relay Test

To check circuit opening relay, See Fig 2 & 16. See CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY LOCATION table. Replace relay if defective.
NOTE:
During cranking, there should be 12 volts present at "FP" terminal of circuit opening relay. This is the fuel pump (or fuel pump relay) line. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article for wire color.
