Fuel Injectors & Fuel Rails: Installation

  1. Install new grommets on injectors. Apply a light coat of gasoline to new "O" rings and install on injectors. While turning injectors from left to right, install to delivery pipe.
  2. Place injector insulators in position on cylinder head. Install Black rings on upper portion of each spacer. Install spacers on fuel rail mounting hole of cylinder head.
  3. Place injectors together with fuel rail in position on cylinder head. Ensure injectors rotate smoothly. If not, check for incorrect installation of "O" rings.
  4. Position injector connector upward. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all nuts and bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
