Vehicle Speed Sensor
- Apply positive battery voltage to terminal No. 3 of speed sensor. See Fig 1. Connect terminal No. 2 to ground. Connect positive lead of voltmeter to terminal No. 3 and negative lead to terminal No. 1.
- Turn ignition on, with engine off. Voltmeter should deflect between 2 and 12 volts as meter shaft is rotated (4 times per revolution). If voltmeter does not deflect as specified, replace speed sensor.
