Relay Continuity

  1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 1 or 2, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3. Check that there is no continuity between terminals. See Fig 1.
  2. Connect the tester leads in reverse and check that there is no continuity between terminals.
  3. Check that there is no continuity between terminals 4 and 5. See Fig 1.

  4. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay.
