Parking Brake Cable

NOTE: Rear brake must be adjusted correctly before adjusting parking brake.

To check parking brake adjustment, pull parking brake lever with force of 44 lbs. (20 kg). Count number of clicks. If number of clicks is not within specification, adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT .
To adjust, release parking brake. From beneath vehicle, loosen lock nut on equalizer bar pull rod. Rotate adjuster nut until lever stroke is as specified. Tighten lock nut.
