Supercharger Magnetic Clutch

  1. To check magnetic clutch operation, start engine and allow engine to idle. Apply parking brake. Shift transmission into Drive. Slightly open throttle and ensure magnetic clutch on front of supercharger engages.
  2. To check resistance on the coil for the magnetic clutch, disconnect electrical connector for magnetic clutch. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between electrical terminals on magnetic clutch. Replace magnetic clutch if resistance is not 3.4-3.8 ohms at 68°F (20°C).
