Engine Control Module (ECM): Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. ECM is located behind the glove box. See Figure. Remove passenger's side door opening scuff plate and kick panel.
  2. Remove lower instrument panel covers, glove box door and glove box. Disconnect electrical connectors at ECM. Remove necessary retaining nuts and brackets for removal of ECM. Remove ECM.
