Power Door Lock Control Relay/Integration Relay Circuit Testing: RAV4

  1. Remove the instrument panel junction block. Check 23-pin "A" connector and 15-pin "B" connector for poor terminal contact. Repair as necessary. If terminal contact is okay, go to next step.
  2. Position back door lock control switch in LOCK position. Connect ohmmeter between connector "A" terminal A17 (Blue/White wire) and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Blue/White wire.
  3. Position door lock control switch in LOCK position. Connect ohmmeter between connector "A" terminal A18 (Blue/White wire) and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Blue/White wire.
  4. Position back door lock control switch in UNLOCK position. Connect ohmmeter between connector "A" terminal A19 (Blue/Yellow wire) and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Blue/Yellow wire.
  5. Position door lock control switch in UNLOCK position. Connect ohmmeter between connector "A" terminal A20 (Blue/Yellow wire) and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Blue/Yellow wire.
  6. Connect voltmeter between connector "B" terminal No. 6 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is present, replace relay. If voltage is not present, repair open circuit in wiring.
