DTC 49: Stoplight Switch (1998 Tercel): Testing
- Depress brake pedal. Check stoplight operation. If stoplight bulbs illuminate, go to next step. Replace stoplight bulb if necessary and recheck.
- Remove ABS ECU with connectors still connected. Depress brake pedal. Check voltage by backprobing Green/White wire at ECU connector A12 terminal No. 19. If voltage is not 8-14 volts, go to next step.
- Check for open in Green/White wire between stoplight switch terminal No. 1 and ECU connector A12 terminal No. 19. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring if necessary. If no problems are found, perform appropriate ECU pin voltage test under PIN VOLTAGE .
