Test 20: Back Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check back door courtesy switch. See COURTESY SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace switch if necessary. If switch is okay, go to step  2.
  2. Check for faulty connectors and wiring between courtesy switch and body ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM INDEX table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
