PRECHARGE Pump
NOTE:
When repairing master cylinder or precharge pump, bleed precharge pump of air.
Install SST (09992-00242, 09992-00350) to brake fluid reservoir. See Fig 1. Use SST to apply 14.2 psi of pressure to reservoir. Disconnect precharge pump electrical connector. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery positive terminal to precharge pump motor terminal ML+ and ground to terminal ML-. See Fig 2. Leave connected for about 20 seconds. Remove SST from reservoir. Connect clear vinyl tube to right front brake caliper and open bleeder. Activate pump again until there are no more air bubbles in fluid. Reconnect pump connector and top off brake fluid.
