Timing Chain: Replacement

- REPLACE CRANKSHAFT FRONT OIL SEAL
HINT:
- If the timing chain cover is removed from the cylinder block.
- Using a screwdriver and a hammer, tap out the oil seal.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.
SST 09309-37010
- Apply MP grease to the oil seal lip.
- If the timing chain cover is installed to the cylinder block.
- Using SST, remove the oil seal.
SST 09308-10010
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.
SST 09309-37010
- Using SST, remove the oil seal.
- If the timing chain cover is removed from the cylinder block.
- REPLACE DRIVE BELT IDLER BEARING
- Mount the drive belt idler in a vice, and remove the bolt, washer and pulley.
- Using SST and a press, press out the bearing.
SST 09950-60010 (09951-00240), 09950-70010 (09951-07100)
- Using SST and a press, press in a new bearing.
SST 09950-60010 (09951-00390), 09950-70010 (09951-07100)
- Mount the drive belt idler in a vice, and reinstall the pulley with the washer and bolt.
Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Be careful of the installation direction of pulley and washer.
