Test No. 12: Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check front and rear courtesy switch. See COURTESY SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace switch as necessary. If switch is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check continuity of Black wire between terminal No. 19 of body ECU 23-pin harness connector "A" and terminal No. 1 of left front door courtesy light switch. Check continuity of Black/White wire between terminal No. 16 of body ECU harness connector "A" and terminal No. 1 of right front door courtesy light switch. Check continuity of Black/Red wire between terminal No. 15 of body ECU harness connector "A" and terminal No. 1 of both rear door courtesy light switches. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
