Test No. 5: Headlight Relay Circuit: Testing

  1. Check operation of headlight relay. See HEADLIGHT RELAY  under COMPONENT TESTS. If headlight relay operates properly, go to next step. If headlight relay is defective, replace headlight relay.
  2. Check for defective connectors and wiring between battery and terminals No. 2 and 4 of headlight relay. Check continuity between terminal No. 3 of headlight relay and terminal No. 3 (Red wire) of body ECU 8-pin harness connector "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, test body ECU and replace as needed.
