Test No. 7: Back Door Power Window Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check operation of back door power window switch. See POWER WINDOWS - TRUCKS article. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is defective, replace switch.
  2. Check continuity of Red wire between terminal No. 5 of body ECU 23-pin harness connector "A" and terminal No. 2 of back window control switch. Check continuity of Red/Black wire between terminal No. 4 of body ECU and terminal No. 1 of back window control switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to the next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
