Anti-Theft Systems: Description
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
When anti-theft system is set (armed), system will lock all doors, flash headlights and taillights, and sound alarm if one of the following conditions occur: any door, liftgate or hood is opened without the key, battery cable is disconnected and reconnected without the key in the ignition lock cylinder, or the system receives panic signal from remote keyless entry system.
