Description & Operation

Keyless entry system allows front, sliding and back doors to be locked and unlocked remotely, up to about 3 feet from vehicle by the use of a hand held transmitter. All keyless entry functions are controlled through the integration relay. A wireless door lock ECU communicates with remote transmitters and relays information to integration relay. Wireless door lock ECU is protected by a DOME (10-amp) fuse located in engine compartment fuse block No. 2.

Depressing LOCK button will lock all doors simultaneously, cause parking, side marker and taillights to flash and buzzer will chirp one time. Depressing UNLOCK button once will unlock driver's door, turn off theft deterrent system and buzzer will chirp 2 times. Depressing UNLOCK button on remote transmitter button again within 3 seconds will unlock other doors. If doors are not opened within 30 seconds, all doors will automatically relock.

On some models, wireless remote transmitter can be used to open and close power side sliding door(s). To open, depress POWER DOOR button once and power door opens. Depress POWER DOOR button again and power door will close.
