Symptom Diagnosis

Perform symptom diagnosis when no DTCs are present, but symptom still occurs. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  table. Perform appropriate test or procedure as directed.

ABS Inoperative (1) 2. Check Power Source Circuit DTC 41 
ABS Inoperative (1) 3. Check Speed Sensor Circuit DTCs 31, 32, 33 & 34 
ABS Inoperative (1) 4. Check Hydraulic Circuit For Leaks Repair As Necessary
ABS Does Not Operate Efficiently (1) 1. Confirm No DTCs Are Set DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 
ABS Does Not Operate Efficiently (1) 2. Check Speed Sensor Circuit DTCs 31, 32, 33 & 34 
ABS Does Not Operate Efficiently (1) 3. Check Stoplight Switch Circuit DTC 49 
ABS Does Not Operate Efficiently (1) 4. Check Power Source Circuit DTC 41 
ABS Does Not Operate Efficiently (1) 5. Check Hydraulic Circuit For Leaks Repair As Necessary
ABS Warning Light Abnormal 1. Check ABS Warning Light Circuit ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT 
ABS Warning Light Abnormal 2. ABS Actuator/Skid Control ECU Replace ABS Actuator/ECU Assembly
DTCs Cannot Be Retrieved (2) 1. Check ABS Warning Light Circuit ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT 
DTCs Cannot Be Retrieved (2) 2. Check Tc Terminal Circuit Tc TERMINAL CIRCUIT 
Speed Sensor Signal Check Cannot Be Performed 1. Check Ts Terminal Circuit Ts TERMINAL CIRCUIT 
Speed Sensor Signal Check Cannot Be Performed 2. Skid Control ECU Replace ABS Actuator/ECU Assembly
(1) If no DTCs are set, no hydraulic leaks are present and problem still occurs, replace ABS actuator/ECU assembly.
(2) If listed circuits check okay, replace ABS actuator/ECU assembly.
