COAST Position

Turn cruise control main switch on. Operate vehicle at 25 MPH or more. Set cruise control. Verify vehicle speed decreases when cruise control switch is moved to SET/COAST position, and stays at new set speed when switch is released. Momentarily move switch lever downward to SET/COAST position, then immediately release it. Vehicle speed should decrease approximately one MPH. If vehicle speed does not decrease, see SYMPTOM TESTS and perform appropriate test(s).
