  1. Turn ignition off and disconnect Black 10-pin power mirror switch electrical harness connector. Using a DVOM, measure across specified terminals of wire harness side of Black 10-pin power mirror switch electrical harness connector. See Figure. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH CIRCUIT SPECIFICATIONS  table. If circuits are as specified, go to next step. If circuits are not as specified, check wiring harness connections at other components and repair/replace as required. See POWER MIRRORS in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TEST .
  2. Check power mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS. If power mirror motor is okay, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off and disconnect Black 10-pin power mirror switch electrical harness connector. On models with mirror heater, disconnect 6-pin electrical harness connector. On models without mirror heater, disconnect 3-pin electrical harness connector. Check wires, wiring harness and connectors between power mirror switch and power mirrors for opens, shorts, intermittents, poor connections, deformed terminals, etc. Repair any defective wire, harness or connector as required. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TEST .
