Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check illumination (Interior light) using TOYOTA hand-held tester.
Preparation : connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

Check : that the illumination can light in an ACTIVE TEST.

OK : all the illumination should light up.
1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
2. NG : Go to step 2.
Check illumination light (interior light system) . See INSPECTION .
1. NG : Replace the failure light.
2. OK : Go to step 3.
Check wire harness and connector between each illumination light and Body ECU, battery and each illumination light . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
