Section 41 (Manual A/C-Heater Systems): Receiver: Removal

  1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.
    NOTE: At the time of the installation, please refer to the following item.
    Evacuate air from refrigeration system.

    Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 600 +/- 50 g (21.16 +/- 1.76 oz.)

  2. Disconnect 2 liquid tubes from receiver.

    Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tubes.

    Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

    CAUTION: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
    NOTE: At the time of the installation, please refer to the following item. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.
  3. Remove receiver.
    1. Remove the holder bolt and pull receiver downward.
      NOTE: At the time of the installation, please refer to the following item.
      If receiver is replaced, add compressor oil to compressor.

      Add 20 cc (0.71 fl.oz.)

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    2. Remove the bolt and holder.
