Section 41 (Manual A/C-Heater Systems): Condenser: Removal

- Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.NOTE: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item:
Evacuate air from refrigeration system.Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
Specified amount: 600 +/- 50 g (21.16 +/- 1.76 oz.)
- 2UZ-FE engine: Remove A/T oil cooler.
- Remove horn.
- Remove hood lock.
- Remove center brace.
- Remove receiver and holder. See REMOVAL .
- Disconnect liquid tube and discharge hose.
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both tube and hose.
Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
CAUTION: Cap open the fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.NOTE: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item:
Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes. - Remove condenser.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 lower brackets.
- Remove the 4 bolts and 2 upper brackets.
- Pull the condenser forward and pull it upward.
NOTE: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item:
If condenser is replaced, add compressor oil to the compressor.- Add 40 - 50 cc (1.4 -1.7 fl.oz.)
- Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
