Suspension System - Rear: Description
A torsion beam type suspension with toe control links has been adopted, in which an axle beam is located in the middle of the trailing arm. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
Torsion beam type rear suspension minimizes change in tire-to-road camber during cornering, thus delivering good cornering and driving stability.
A stabilizer bar has been adopted, and a toe control link mechanism is used in the construction of the trailing arm bushings. The toe correct function that is effected by movement of the links results in optimal compliance steering, thus achieving excellent driveability, stability, and riding comfort.
