Body Outside Moulding: Installation

  1. w/Overfender: INSTALL QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING 
    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 -60°C (104- 140°F).

      3. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      4. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the quarter outside moulding.
      1. Install the 2 screws and rear quarter outer panel extension.
      2. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
        1. Body: 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F) 
        2. Moulding: 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F) 
        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      3. Lift the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust can get onto the uncoated area.
      4. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body and press firmly on the moulding.
        NOTE: Do not apply excessive force onto the moulding, but steady pressure with your thumbs.
      5. Using a riveter, install the moulding with the rivet.
        NOTE: Install them with the rivet firmly pressed perpendicularly against the installation hole.
      6. Install the 2 screws.
  2. w/ Overfender: INSTALL NO. 1 REAR WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION 
    1. Install the quarter opening retainer with the 4 screws.
    2. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F).
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    3. Install the No. 1 rear wheel opening extension.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

        1. Body: 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F) 
        2. Moulding: 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F)

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING 
    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40- 60°C (104- 140°F).

      3. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      4. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the rear door outside moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
        1. Body: 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F) 
        2. Moulding: 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F) 
        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Lift the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust can get onto the uncoated area.
      3. Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body, and press firmly on the moulding.

  4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING 
    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F).
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the front door outside moulding.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
        1. Body: 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F) 
        2. Moulding: 20 - 30°C (68 - 86°F) 
        NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
      2. Lift the moulding release sheet from the face of the moulding.
        NOTE: When the moulding release sheet is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust can get onto the uncoated area.

  5. w/ Overfender: INSTALL FRONT FENDER OUTSIDE MOULDING 
    1. Clean the body mounting surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F).
      2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
      3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    2. Install the front fender moulding.
      1. Install the front quarter outer panel extension with the 2 screws.

      3. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
        1. Body: 40 - 60°C (104 - 140°F)

  6. w/ Overfender: INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION 

    Install the front bumper extension with the 3 nuts.
