Power Slide Door Control System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH CONTINUITY

    Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
    Switch ON 1 - 3 Continuity
    Switch OFF 1 - 3 No Continuity
    Illumination Circuit 4 - 5 Continuity

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  2. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR RH SIDE CONTROL FRONT SWITCH CONTINUITY

    Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
    Switch ON 5 - 8 Continuity
    Switch OFF 5 - 8 No Continuity
    Illumination Circuit 2 - 6 Continuity

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  3. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR LH SIDE CONTROL FRONT SWITCH CONTINUITY

    Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
    Switch ON 3 - 6 Continuity
    Switch OFF 3 - 6 No Continuity
    Illumination Circuit 1 - 4 Continuity

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  4. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY

    Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
    Switch ON 1 - 5 Continuity
    Switch OFF 1 - 5 No Continuity
    Illumination Circuit 2 - 4 Continuity

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  5. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK RELEASE ACTUATOR OPERATION

    Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check the door lock release link moves to release position.

  6. INSPECT LATCH SWITCH CONTINUITY

    LATCH SWITCH CONTINUITY REFERENCE

    Slide Door Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
    Open 1 - 2 No Continuity
    Closed 1 - 2 Continuity

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  7. INSPECT FUEL LID COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY

    1. Check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and terminal 2 with the switch ON (switch pin pushed).
    2. Check that no continuity exists between terminal and terminal 2 with the switch OFF (switch pin released).

      If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
